To perform and get durable structure best practices should be followed.

If the foundation is poor, then the entire structure will collapse. The foundation should be rest on firm soil. Foundation should be taken to a minimum depth of 1.2m below from the ground level.

Foundation is depend on load bearing capacity of soil and it is important to indicate the size of the foundation. Selection of foundation should be suitable that can handle the weight of wall. Ensure that the excavation done is true to levels, slope, shape and pattern.

Termite infestation can weaken structures and damage wooden surfaces. So it is important to do anti-termite treatment before the construction starts.

Cement should be stored properly if it’s not it will lose its strength as cement absorbs moisture from the air. It is necessary to protect cement from dampness and humidity. Cement should be stored in water-proof buildings.

Also some care should be taken during the concrete mix.

Ø  Concrete mix should be avoided manually.
Ø  Minimum mixing time should be 2 min.
Ø  Keep close eye on water quantity during mixing.
Ø  Use admixtures if only required.
Ø  Use good quality Water proofing chemical which should be chloride free.

Compaction should be done to reduce voids to make concrete strong. Aggregates should be hard, strong, chemically inert and free from harmful materials. Sand should be free from silt, clay lumps. Presence of any of the aggregates in excessive quantities adversely affects the setting, hardening, strength and durability of concrete.

During brick work joints should be filled and packed with mortar. Brick work should be done properly to make the wall strong.

Steel, concrete should be taken from the well-known industry. Sanghi RMX, Sanghi cement should meet your all requirement. Plastering should be done properly.
